Anyone wishing to join must complete an application form and their application will be considered by the PPA Executive Committee.
Members may be:
- solicitors, barristers, accountants, investigators, forensic analysts or other professionals who can demonstrate a genuine interest in and prospect of developing a practice in this area as well as commitment to promoting the core values of the Private Prosecutors’ Association, as set out in the constitution (for example former prosecutors who have joined private practice or junior individuals practising with a firm or chambers that regularly engage in private prosecutions);
- academics or other professionals not listed above with a significant interest in this area.
All members will be bound by the terms of the constitution and will abide by the Code for Private Prosecutors.
The membership fee is £50 per annum and this is renewed on 1 March each year.
